The main aim of our institute`s research is improvement of exploitation and reproduction of the Northern forests, increase of their multipurpose productivity to provide forest complex of the region with forest production and conservation of their ecological-protective role.
Research directions of our institute are traditionally defined as north-taiga and pre-tundra forestry for timber processing and raw material purposes.
