Participants of the 72th session of the UNECE visited Sabinsky Leshoz of the Republic of Tatarstan

On November 21 the participants of the 72th session of the UNECE had possibility to attend a field trip at the invitation of the Ministry of Forestry of the Tatarstan Republic. Participants visited Sabinsky Leshoz which is an example of an enterprise of a full cycle - from growing seedlings to the wood production. Forest selection and seed Centre produces 12 million seedlings per year.
An exhibition of achievements of forest science and industry of Tatarstan was organized in one of the greenhouses. Participants of the 72th session were able to see the wood processing complex, which was opened in 2013 and designed to process 140,000 cubic meters of wood per year.
